Orvis CFO III fly reel with extra spool. This was made in England by Hardy Bros. in the 1970's. Both spools are loaded with 5 weight line. One floating, one intermediate. Classic rivet-back design. No dents or cracks, some minor scratches and paint loss. Excellent working condition, smooth action, great clicking sound. Please feel free to email me with any questions you may have. Billy Pate Bonefish fly reel in mint condition. Anti-reverse. Left hand retrieve. Bought new several years ago for a trip to Florida and never used again. Comes with 30# Dacron backing loaded but no line. Has a foam stick-on pad added to the foot to fit my reel seat, can be peeled off if you don't need it. The neoprene cozy has a couple of stains, one of which is visible in the photos- may come out in the wash, I haven't tried. Thanks for looking.

Courtland Graphite reel
From Britain comes a fly reel by Courtland Lmtd. This item reads Courtland Graphite. The tag on the inside of the reel reads: Courtland 444 WF71 which we later found out must have meant at some point someone had Courtland 444 fly line on the reel and it was Weight Forward and 7 weight. Not sure what the 1 stood for. Right now this reel has a little backing on it and no fly line but it's waiting to be put on a fly rod and have line added. Sold as is and no international sales.

This auction is for an early Abel No. 2 Big Game Fly Reel with the solid(i.e. Not perforated) frame and Black Coral(gloss) finish. The reel has been used only a very few times and is in excellent condition. A very close inspection will reveal a very minor, almost imperceptible loss of finish on the rear of the reel foot(see last photo) otherwise, I would describe the reel's condition as mint. The reel is loaded with 20# dacron backing. Vintage Hardy St. John 3-screw with original box + pokey bag
This auction is for a Hardy St. John(3 7/8" with the early 3-screw latch cover. It is right hand wind and has the ribbed brass foot. The foot appears to be full length and not shortened. Filed or otherwise altered. Most of the original leading/bronzing on the reel is still present. Overall a super nice dark grey patina with only a few areas slightly lightened up by regular use. Unfortunately a previous owner decided to individualize the reel"Neanderthal-style" by scratching his initials into the back plate of the reel. Total size of the affected area is appr. of a fingernail. Apart from this the reel is in extremely nice condition. Technically it is 100% with no wobble. Play or any other imperfection. Runs as smooth and tight as it did on the day it left the Alnwick factory. I have had this reel in my personal collection for ... morea long time but never got to fish with it. Not too many steelhead or seatrout around where I live unfortunately. Hardly ever seen. This reel comes in it´s original Hardy´s carton box. Sweet little Cliff Herron trout reel with case
Nice little hand made reel from Cliff Herron. With a 3 1/4” diameter, 3/4” wide spool. According to my research Herron used 7075 bar stock. Higher than the typical 6061 grade. Another special feature is the sweet sounding outgoing click. The reel has a fully adjustable drag and appears to work like new. Appearance wise there's s ome slight marks on the rims. Foot is marked"HERRON" and" C91-34" Former owners initials on spool shaft. Set for right hand wind.I do not know if it can be changed to left- if you know please send me a note. Hardy Perfect 3 3/8 inch fly reel 60s/70s.
A really nice Hardy Perfect 3 3/8 narrow drum trout reel. It has enamel finish and is in quite nice order. I have owned it since the 1980s but think it must be of 1960's or possibly 70's date of manufacture. It has a smooth ali foot and agate line guide. Line is an 80's floating weight forward so not of any great value. The leather case is not period and is a near new modern leather sheep skin lined one. All in all a very nice reel to keep or to use.
